Looking for the best pizza in Minocqua, Wisconsin? Look no further!

This article will discuss some of the best pizza places in the Minocqua, Woodruff, and Arbor Vitae area.

Whether you are looking for a classic Italian-style pizza or something a little more unique, we have you covered.

So, what are you waiting for?

Start reading and see which pizzeria in the Northwoods is your new favorite!

    #1 Rustic Pines Pub

Rustic Pines is a true Northwoods local gem.

The bar and pizza joint is owned and run by a mother and daughter team who always quickly bring you a cold drink or piping hot pizza.

The crust is crispy, the pizza is overflowing with delicious Wisconsin Cheese, and the atmosphere is pure Wisconsin.

The sauce is excellent, which often makes or breaks a pizza.

Tip: Give your pizza a few seconds to cool as I have burned myself on more than one occasion when waiting to dig into their pizza was too challenging.

    Location: 11758 WI-70, Minocqua, WI 54548

    #2 Preuss’s Pub

Preuss’s Pub is a Northwoods staple. They are one of the best places to stop for a drink while on the winter snowmobile trails.

Preuss’s is known all year round for “to die for” crispy pizza. They are also known for their monster half-pound cheeseburgers.

The inside is tiny and a classing Northwoods dive, but the food they deliver is top-notch.

#3 Black Bear Pizza and Beer

The Black Bear is one of the best dive bars, pizza joints, and breakfast spots in Minocqua.

The Black Bear boasts friendly bartenders and a fantastic owner Ryan ready to keep you comfortable and fed.

You can sit outside in the summer beside the river behind the Black bear or cozy up to one of their natural wood fireplaces in the winter.

With plenty of snowmobile and car parking, the Black Bear is a can’t miss if you are in Minocqua.

    #4 Minocqua Pizza Company

The Minocqua Pizza Company is a favorite for both locals and tourists.

The MPC, as it’s called by the locals, has been around for over 25 years and is known for its thin-crust pizza.

They have a great selection of beers on tap and in the bottle. The service has always been friendly and fast.

The inside is nothing fancy, but it’s clean and comfortable. This is a great place to go with friends or family.

#5 Tasty Take & Bake Pizza

Tasty Take & Bake is a great option if you want a quick and easy pizza.

You can call ahead and pick up your pizza or stop in, and they will have it ready for you in no time.

The pizza is delicious, the crust is thin and crispy, and the sauce is flavorful.

They are also known for their unique upper Wisconsin pasties. Deliciously warm bread pockets overflowing with meat, cheese, and homemade sauce.

You will need to bake the pizza yourself, which may seem like more work, but if you start the oven before your loved one gets home, it is hard to beat the fresh from the oven taste.

If you are looking for things to do during the day before it’s time for some pizza, we have compiled a summer guide to the best things to do in Minocqua.

    #6 Hazelhurst Pub

The Hazelhurst Pub is a lively and jam-packed divey Wisconsin bar on the weekends but filled with mostly locals during the week.

The pizza is some of the best in the area. The crust is thin and crispy, and the sauce is zesty with just a hint of sweetness.

They also offer delivery which is always a plus and a feature not many pizza places have in the Minocqua area. While this may not be a quiet date night or family place, the Hazelhurst Pub is a great restaurant to grab a pizza and beer with friends.

They also have a darts area for those that enjoy a bit of competition with their dinner.

Most Overrated Pizza: Oakfire Pizzeria & Bar

If you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy some pizza, Oakfire is not the place for you. It is always packed and loud. The wait time for a table can be over an hour on busy nights.

The pizza is flimsy and tasteless while trying to be “fancy” and upscale.

We believe Oakfire Pizzeria is a significant miss and not what we look for in a pizza when in Minocqua.

The owners of the Oakfire are also known for harassing local residents and have been involved in “dirty” political dealings in town as of late.

The Oakfire gets a 1-star from us, and you can absolutely skip stopping at this stuffy “dump” in downtown Minocqua.

The Bottom Line on Pizza in Minocqua

So there you have it! The best pizza places in the Minocqua, Wisconsin area.

If you’re looking to cut down on the calories you may want to try cutting back on the pizza.

Check out the Fit Father Project if you are trying to get into better shape this year.

A pizza restaurant in the Northwoods at its best includes:

    • Unpretentious classic northern Wisconsin atmosphere
    • Overflowing with Wisconsin state beloved cheese
    • A homemade sauce that goes above and beyond the average
    • Piles of sausage and pepperoni, depending on your taste
    • Crushed parmesan and red pepper flakes on a checkered table clothed table
